Jeff Duke is a Toronto counsellor/psychotherapist who graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Master of Social Work degree.

He looks forward to working with adult individuals, particularly in the areas of:

Anxiety (Panic Attacks, Phobias, Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Workplace/Family Stress, OCD) Stress Depression Abuse Counselling Grief Counselling Addiction Concerns

Jeff has gained considerable experience providing counselling for mental health and addiction concerns to individual women and men of various ages, ethnic and religious backgrounds, and sexualities.

He has gained vital experience working in such settings as university counselling centres, a psychiatrist’s private practice, his own work as a private practitioner, and the at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on an Ontario wide telephone support hotline, and developing/delivering group therapy programs for inpatients with schizophrenia.

Jeff believes that mental health and addiction concerns can occur for many reasons including reactions to grief, job stress/loss, family tensions, social discomfort, tension in close relationships, etc.

He is aware that everyone who experiences such issues goes through them in ways that are unique to them, and Jeff tends to avoid “one size fits all” approaches to treatment.

Jeff prefers to take an eclectic approach to therapy that includes aspects of cognitive-behavioural, solution focused, client centred, narrative, and psychodynamic theories; to put together a healing program that meets his client’s individual needs.

Jeff strives to create an inclusive, non-judgemental/supportive, holistic, client-focused therapeutic environment, taking into consideration the relationships his clients have with family, friends, work/study, and their communities.

Being mindful of the connection between mind and body, Jeff has often observed how untreated mental health and addiction concerns can adversely affect people’s physical health.

Jeff is regulated by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW) and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).

Jeff Duke sees patients on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Once she started her studies, she realized there is a long history and depth to the art and science of traditional chinese medicine that will take a commitment to continual learning, to which she is well suited as a dedicated lifelong learner in the field of health and wellness.

Traditional chinese medicine acupuncture is excellent for maintaining optimal health of the body and mind. As a form of preventative medicine, attending to minor health concerns is particularly effective along with a healthy lifestyle. Vivian has a high level of expertise with musculoskeletal injuries or pain. She has also seen the benefits of acupuncture for relaxation/stress relief, headaches, insomnia, skin conditions, digestive issues, menstrual issues and facial rejuvenation/cosmetic acupuncture.

Tehseen Meghji is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Birth Doula serving Toronto, Ontario.

In my practice I focus on general family medicine and preventative care.

I also have a special interest in:

Women’s health Fertility Digestive care Stress management Mental health Mind-body medicine

My goal is to walk alongside my patients through their healing journeys and to provide tools that enable them to feel empowered and knowledgeable about their health.

I value building a trusting patient-practitioner relationship where patients feel heard and can comfortably express their concerns.

My passion lies in using the healing power of nature to promote harmony, awareness and balance within the body. Integrating the pieces of a patient’s unique story with a supportive environment and evidence based medicine, creates a picture of optimal health, well-being and individualized care.

Growing up I was fascinated in the workings of the human body and healthcare, which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from the University of Calgary. It was the philosophy of Naturopathic Medicine that drew me to the profession. I was inspired by the doctor as teacher approach and the innate ability of the body to heal itself.

In 2008, I moved to Toronto to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) to learn about how to address the root cause of disease. It was through Naturopathic Medicine that I began my own healing journey and addressed many of my personal health concerns and goals. The phrase “mind of a doctor, heart of a healer” still rings true to me today.

During my clinical residency at CCNM, I spent over 1500 hours treating patients with a wide variety of health concerns at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. I also had the privilege of providing care at the Anishnawbe Health Clinic and the Sherbourne Community Health Centre serving the Aboriginal and LGBTQ communities, respectively.

In 2011, I completed Doula training for Naturopathic Doctors and also received additional training in Homeopathy in India. After completing a medical internship in Haiti in 2012, my passion for community medicine flourished.

I strongly believe that naturopathic care and health education should be available and affordable to all individuals. I strive to increase the accessibility of Naturopathic Medicine by providing community wellness seminars and community care to the public.

During my free time you can find me admiring nature, exploring my cooking talent with healthy recipes, professionally singing Bollywood music at community events, reading self-development books, and spending time with my supportive husband and family. I am also fluent in Hindi and Kutchi.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment. I look forward to seeing where your healing journey takes us together!
